What We Do

Behaivior is on a mission to democratize addiction and mental health recovery using AI, behavioral health technology, and wearables for crisis aversion and mental health support. We help people stay on track with their recovery process by providing the right intervention at the right time, in real-time. We help care providers better serve their clients, and employers better serve their employees.

Ellie Gordon, Founder and CEO of Pittsburgh based startup, Behaivior, speaking at an event at Google.
A group of speakers from TEDxPittsburgh 2018 [ small worlds] standing on stage. At this TED event, speakers explored themes that connect people across borders, industries and time. They heard ideas on disaster recovery, advancing breast cancer research, using A.I. to combat the opioid epidemic, leadership in cities, and more. Here, Behaivior Founder and CEO, Ellie Gordon, gave a talk on how artificial intelligence and wearables can combat opioid addiction.

SAMHSA (The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration) defines recovery as:

"A process of change through which individuals improve their health and wellness, live a self-directed life, and strive to reach their full potential."

Why Recovery?

Behaivior embraces SAMHSA's definition of recovery and believes that all people are entitled to the tools needed to be successful on their recovery journey and reach their fullest potential.

With higher than ever rates of overdose and mental health crises, a new approach is needed.

How Can We Help?

Meet Recovery™. A toolbox at your fingertips. Health care providers can use our company, Behaivior, to know in advance when individuals are in a high-risk state, and vulnerable to a crisis event, including use or return to use. Behaivior uses advanced AI behavioral health technology, and wearables to collect biometrics, provide proactive interventions, and more to help individuals be successful in their recovery.

Behaivior uses proprietary AI-enabled predictions of upcoming pre-crisis events, including return to use, and detailed assessment summaries. Users can access digital interventions and choose to alert their care providers and support networks of high-probability risk events.
